Opening a café or fast-food place in Nakuru: the disposables checklist

Drinks

• Coffee cups 250 ml and 330 ml, with lids, and sleeves for hot drinks.
• Dome lids and clear PP lids for cold drinks and milkshakes.
• Plastic tumblers: 4 oz, 5 oz, 200 ml, 250 ml, 300 ml and 500 ml.
• Straws: white, black, tropical coloured, milkshake straws and biodegradable Bio Blend straws.
• Shot glasses and party clear shot glasses for events.

Food

• Foil containers 450 ml, 980 ml and 1200 ml; plastic containers 500 cc and 750 cc; hinged boxes.
• Pizza boxes 10 × 10, 12 × 12 and 15 × 15; cake boxes if you sell cakes.
• White plates 8 and 11 inch, party plates, party clear dishes.
• Plastic forks and knives, skewers and cocktail sticks.

• Serviettes by the bale (Pulita, Hanan, Tiara, Safi).
• Toothpicks: regular and wrapped.
• Sauces: 5-litre tomato and chilli for refilling bottles, sachets for takeaway, 50 ml and 500 ml sauce bottles.
• Sugar and salt sachets.

Hygiene and kitchen

• Disposable hairnets and latex gloves for food handling.
• Cling film and aluminium foil for storing and covering food.
• Kitchen towels, hand towels and jumbo roll tissue for washrooms.
• Garbage bags.
